Nicola Abela has worked in various industries over the past 23 years having gained experience both locally and abroad. Over the past 12 years, she has focused entirely on Human Resources and all the various complexities that encompass this field including Learning and Development, Recruitment and Employee Engagement. In her interventions, she applies principles and methodologies based on the psychology of the human mind, social, economic, cultural influences and strategic and tactical initiatives to attain people engagement and motivation.
Following her University degree in Communications and Psychology, Nicola gained experience in the banking industry as well as a private education institution before fulfilling her objective of working and studying abroad.
Following her return to Malta, Nicola worked in the English language industry setting up and maintaining the HR function and assisting its various operations before moving to the Wholesale and Retail industry, setting up and managing the HR department, developing processes, setting up learning opportunities and providing training.
Besides her degree, Nicola is also certified in Train the Trainer, Employment Law and as a coach in Leading and Motivating with Emotional Intelligence.
