Strong team dynamics are the backbone of any successful company. Successful companies recognize the benefits of a dynamic team working together towards a common goal. Having the right people in the right roles – with a shared vision – is a sure-fire way to take your company to the next level.
ThinkTalent’s team building programme in Malta focuses entirely on human factors that impact team functioning and addresses these from a holistic perspective by integrating the intrapersonal and interpersonal aspects of high-functioning and high-performance teams.
Our innovative team building programme goes far beyond the classical game-based events, giving participants an in-depth understanding of their teammates. This includes strengthening and empowering the team by looking at ways in which members function, how various personalities manifest themselves through specific behavioural preference and taking into consideration the psychological health of the team.
The programme is made up of 4 learning components:
Raising Self-Awareness & Trust in the Team
The first workshop is specifically aimed at improving levels of trust in the team. Members share particular significant life events, what they learnt from them, and how they have impacted who they are today. This is achieved by working with the lifeline model.
Analysing & Assessing Team Functions
Based on the work of Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team – Trust; Conflict; Accountability; Results Orientation and Commitment, the second phase of the programme involves team members assessing their team. A discussion is then developed aimed at appreciating and acknowledging team strengths and addressing areas that need improvement.
Giving & Receiving Feedback
The third phase of the programme is specifically designed to encourage openness in the team through honest and skillfully given feedback. Team members will have the unique opportunity to ask for specific feedback about themselves to gain more insight and make positive changes.
Creating a Plan of Action for Better Team Functioning
The final workshop aims at consolidating all the learning of the two-day process and consists of the team formulating a concrete action plan that will lead to improved team functioning, healthier team dynamics and a clear way forward for the whole team.
The emphasis of this training is on process rather than content. This means that direct lecturing and theoretical material will be kept to an absolute minimum. Instead, the focus will be placed on creating a safe environment where participants can fully experience their own group dynamics, reflect on them, assess them, and come with ways of improving them.
